$_12.JPG?set_id=880000500F。This a truly magnificent brown felt hat which has an asymmetrical \"brim\" that projects upwards and is almost fully covered by chartreuse colored feathers glued to the felt. The top of the crown as well as the back side of the brim have no feathers, but features a narrow felt bow. There is an elastic band attached to the hat to keep it in place under the hair. Women’s 1930s hats were small and simple in decoration, yet their shaping was a work of art. Folded, molded, and angled felt made hats look like something out of a Picasso painting. Label: There is no designer label, but there is a store label: THE SMART SHOP - HOUSTON This is an authentic piece of fashion history! This hat is in wonderful vintage condition & has been lovingly preserved among over 1300 vintage hats we have collected for 40+ years. Feathers, straw, flowers & veils are fragile, given their age. Mannequin not for sale.
